Pasta is the most favorite dish of everyone out there. However, if it is not made correctly, it becomes chewy and mushy or even gets clumped up together. Therefore, we bring you some tips to learn to cook delicious pasta. 

Use The Right Pot

Now, whenever you are cooking pasta, make sure to boil it in a big pan. Since a big pan will prevent them from sticking together. Moreover, it will also give enough room to the pasta to cook separately, further, ensure to add sufficient amount of water so that pasta can swim freely in the pan.

Reserve Some Water

Now, if you wish to make the pasta sauce on your own. Then do keep aside some pasta cooking water before you drain the pasta. Moreover, this water will help in thickening the sauce and also help the pasta to absorb the mixture and spread evenly. Therefore, keep aside at least half a cup of pasta cooking water.

Finish Cooking The Pasta 

Now, add the pasta into the sauce and toss it well. Also, stir the pasta well by adding some olive oil in it. Thus, your pasta is ready to serve and eat.

Do Not Add Oil Into The Water

However, do not add oil into the boiling water. Since oil will make your pasta slippery. Thus, making it tough for the sauce to stick to the pasta.

Further, drain your pasta to remove the excess water. However, do not let it dry, since drying the pasta will stick to one another. Therefore, immediately after draining the pasta, add the sauce into the pasta.

Pick The Right Shape For The Sauce You Are Cooking

Now, all pasta is not suitable for thick sauces. Further, some pasta is ideal for thick sauces while some suits best to oil-based sauces. For instance, sauces made of olive oil and tomatoes suit best for long pasta and spaghetti. Whereas, for thick sauces, penne pasta is suitable.

Don’t Rinse Your Pasta

Rinsing the pasta washes away all the starch from it. Now, starch helps in clinging the sauce to pasta. Therefore, do not clean the pasta. Further, if you are making a pasta salad, then you can rinse it.
